Ember was born February 21st, 2020. She is from Julie Nelson's, NGDC AmFC GFC DC GCH Turning Points Shenanigans-Shandi. There was no plan to get a dual championship on her as I just wanted to have fun with a new puppy. Ember came home right as the COVID-19 pandemic had hit. We used all that extra time to bond and train fun tricks.
Since both of Ember's parents are amazing field dogs, we decided to try this sport out. With the help of various people, we attended our first field trial when she was just 6 months old. While we didn't get a placement, we had fun and kept coming back. At the end of her juvenile season with 17 placements, Ember is in the process of being broke and run in adult stakes. In the field she is thoughtful and intense. She is confident on any grounds, new or old. She is independent and biddable.
When not out in the field, we like to get into the show ring. Ember finished her championship with three, 4 point majors. She is a petite Brittany with lots of power. Ember is completely owner-handled and owner-trained, both in the field and show ring.
Ember is not only a phenomenal show and field dog, she is a versatile, all-rounded dog. Ember earned her Rally Novice going three for three runs, in one weekend. She also has her Dock Junior title with NADD. Other than finishing her Field Championship, Ember will be working towards more rally titles as well. At just 2 1/2 years old, she has already earned her versatility award with The American Brittany Club.
